Minecraft Machinima

Working on a 'top secret' Minecraft Machinima, for a client. I had never played before, and had to figure out a lot of stuff in a hurry! It's wacky having to build sets! Some in progress shots:

If you live in Brazil

Our award winner from last year "The Lake" is screening at a Brazillian machinima and electronic arts festival. Too bad I can't make it.
HERE'S THE WEBSITE LINK!

I'm on Page 84

This is Coral. She's one of the two main protagonists in the graphic novel. Yeah, I know, she is reminiscent of a much younger me (if I dressed the same as I do now - back in the 80's pastels were the rage). But like they say - write about what you know.

I don't want to leak out too much of the graphic novel before it's done...but I'll try to post more things over the year for the 0.5 people that are looking. Once the first book is out, the website will be listed on it and hopefully more people will be watching. Which will encourage me to write and post more. And to fix some of the broken pages.

I still don't have a title.

Graphic Novel

A rough couple of panels from my as yet unnamed graphic novel (book one). I'll post more art from the project throughout the year.

Designs

Some character designs for a short comic book project. You'll have to guess the story.

Catching Up

So, Happy 2011! A little late, but Brad and I made this Holiday Card last month, for all our friends and family. He wrote the song and I hastily did a semi-animated time lapse kind of art thing for it. Enjoy!

OK, so there were no posts in 2010

I pretty much abandoned this blog and website in 2010. I finally gazed upon the sadness that was my website, and decided to rev it up again. Maybe I'll even be able to get a few people to pay attention.

The difference is that this year, the focus will be on a graphic novel I'm working on, and any other film-related stuff I happen to be involved with, but really, not so much about machinima. It was a really fun period of my life, doing the machinima thing, but as my boyfriend rightfully pointed out - it ain't no moneymaker, and I really have to concentrate on products that I own 100% of. I might throw together a quick one now and then, but it's going to be a back burner thing for sure at this point.

Now having said all that, here's a machinima me and Ben and the gang made last November for the 48 hour film challenge. We won the machinima division, so our film is going to the finals in March of this year. Here it is!
